Volunteering and Supported Volunteering

This is a Claimed service
Delivered by: Equi-Power Central Scotland RDA This is a Claimed organisation
Last updated: 04/06/2024

We focus on providing volunteering opportunities with the horses and supporting young people engaging in one of the above activities. Roles are varied, including caring for the horses, exercising, looking after equipment, leading the horses whilst activities are being delivered, and supporting participants.

We also have volunteer coaches like previous Special Olympics Vaulter Lyn Dumbleton. In March 2021, Lyn won Forth Valley Disability Sport’s Volunteer of the Year award for her outstanding services to the Charity.“Making friends with other volunteers and having a reason to leave home.”

Supported volunteering opportunities – for children, young people, and adults with additional support needs or a disability to engage in any of the activities as above but with either another volunteer or a coach supporting them.
