With summer behind us and autumn underway, it feels like the right time to share some updates from ALISS. Find out what we have been up to over the past months and what is coming next. 

‘Our Health, Our Place, Our Voice’ toolkit

In the past year, we have been working to refresh the ‘Our Health, Our Place, Our Voice’ toolkit. First developed in 2015, the toolkit has been reshaped to meet the changing needs of today’s young people and the evolving educational landscape, reflecting the importance of having young people’s voices heard. The updated toolkit is designed to be practical, flexible and engaging, and introduces young people to using ALISS.

Discover the ALISS map tool

Did you know you can now create a customised ALISS map? The map can be embedded on your website and display services that are relevant for your community. We have already been working together with partners to bring this to life - for example, Aberdeen City HSCP have developed their Green Health Map, which shows local parks, gardens, and natural areas to help people connect with nature and improve their wellbeing.

MyCare: the new health and social care app

The Scottish Government has announced MyCare, a new online app designed to transform how people access health and social care services. Following an initial launch in Lanarkshire later this year, it will progressively be made available across Scotland from April 2026. 

ALISS will play a key role in providing data for the app. By adding your information to the system, it will also become available on MyCare in the future. 

Find your fit with ALISS

ALISS is proud to support Scottish Women and Girls in Sport Week which runs from Monday 6 to Sunday 12 October. This year’s theme is all about finding your fit, and enjoying movement that works for you. 

ALISS helps to make this possible by connecting people to opportunities to get active – from walking groups to fitness classes and sports clubs. 

Upcoming event: DiGiTal Get Together 2025

As part of our shared commitment to improving digital health and wellbeing in Scotland, we are delighted to highlight this upcoming event from our colleagues at the Health and Social Care Alliance Scotland (The ALLIANCE).

DiGiTal Get Together is a free, in-person learning event, exploring how human rights are the foundation of our work to address digital exclusion in Scotland today and in the future.

This event will take place on Tuesday 21 October in Glasgow (9.30am-3pm) at the Radisson Blu, Glasgow.
