Keep The Heid Mental Health Café is a peer support service for people living with mental health problems in East Lothian.

Sessions run from 7pm to 9pm as follows

  • Tuesdays at The Fraser Centre, Tranent
  • Thursdays at The Hope Rooms, North Berwick
  • Fridays at The Trinity Centre, Haddington

Sessions are run by a professional facilitator and volunteer. Doors open at 7pm for informal chat, then at 7.30pm the session will begin with a short meditation. Don’t worry if you’ve never done meditation before - our facilitator will lead this for the group. After that, there is an opportunity for everyone to talk - or you can just listen if you prefer. Keep The Heid is designed as a safe space to talk about your worries and stresses and although we exchange information in the chat, please note that it is not an advice service. Keep The Head provides free tea, coffee and snacks.

Anyone aged over 16 who identifies as having issues with their mental health is welcome.
