Home-Start Renfrewshire

Home-Start provides one-to-one support for parents/carers with one or more children under five years old. Volunteers commit to visiting the family’s home for a couple of hours every week and the type of support the volunteer gives depends very much on the needs of the family. Volunteers are carefully matched with the family they support so that their life experience and skills as well as personalities allow for a trusting relationship to develop.

Maybe you need someone to talk to who won't judge you; a shoulder to cry on or perhaps someone to play with or read to your children; maybe a bit of support to make or keep medical appointments or someone to introduce you to local activities for children. You decide.
