Macrobert Arts Centre - Creative Activities

Our team deliver a programme of dance, drama, film, and art workshops and classes throughout the year. We hold these at our venue and in the community to ensure that as many people can join these activities. We also have specific projects that work with children and young people who are care experienced or who have mental health challenges, we deliver a regular Dance for Parkinson's class in Alva, Clackmannanshire and have a current project to work with those from the LGBTQ+ community who are 50+.

We host a yearly HUBBUB Festival for people to come and experience taster sessions of various creative genres. In addition, we host an Epic Art Challenge which welcomes people of all ages to submit a piece of work that could be exhibited in our Arthouse. We also host a range of summer holiday sessions which include 'Play in a Week', 'Film in a Week' and Play in the Park. We have a Pay What You Can pricing structure to ensure everybody can access our activities. removing any financial barriers.

There are accessible parking spaces near the main entrance to the venue, there is step free access into and throughout the building.
There are five parking bays for blue badge holders adjacent to Macrobert and another five just across the road . Our blue badge parking and drop off area is most easily accessed via the East Link Road-please follow the pink signs.
Electronic doors into the building, there is flat access to our box office and cinema. There is a ramp to the entrance to our Mainhouse theatre and Playhouse theatre. We have outside ramp access to our Workhouse space.

We have BSL Interpreted performances for selected shows throughout the season. When booking, Box Office staff can help find the best available seats for you to see the professional interpreter. The interpreter will not distract from the view of the show.
We welcome everyone into our space, it is free to enter.
The University has free wifi available for guests to use.
We have a gender neutral toilet available in the Playhouse foyer

There is a bus hub on campus with good transport links across Stirlingshire and to the train station.
