Clackmannanshire Older Adult Forum (Coaf)

Last updated: 30/10/2024

The Forum was formed to promote a positive attitude toward ageing & provide information on local issues, services & opportunities for older people. We also aim to present the views & concerns of Seniors, decision makers & service providers at a local & national level.

We felt that the increasing aged society needed a voice to be heard in all aspects of life & that presenting a united voice would be more effective than tabling concerns individually.

During the first year, we canvassed many of the senior's groups in the County and with representatives from these groups our forum was formed.

Since then we have become a strong voice for Older Adults and & liaised with Governments at different levels to promote better housing, pensions, transportation, health care & other issues for Seniors.

We are fortunate to have the support and participation of Age Scotland, the NHS, CTSI to name a few.
