Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire Scottish Wildlife Trust Local Group

Last updated: 07/10/2024

We are a friendly, active group with the key aims of raising awareness of biodiversity in the Northeast of Scotland and creating opportunities to help safeguard that biodiversity. We organise a range of nature conservation activities and events including walks, talks, hands on volunteering and community-based skills workshops.

Our local branch members are spread across a large area of the Grampian and we are fortunate to have a variety of Scottish Wildlife Trust local nature reserves located across our region. From the coastal path of Longhaven Cliffs, the ancient forest of Gight Wood on the banks of the River Ythan, the wildflower-rich Coulnacraig Meadow to the raised bog of Red Moss in Deeside.
