Last updated: 16/01/2025

Delivered by Health and Social Care Alliance Scotland (The ALLIANCE), the Scotland Reducing Gambling Harm programme works co-productively with people with lived experience and interested organisations working towards reducing gambling harms in Scotland. It sets out priorities for change, looks for opportunities to inform policy and practice, and spreads awareness of the impact of gambling harms.

The programme puts the voice of people affected by gambling harms at the centre to reduce harms and support them to ensure the voice of lived experience informs policy change.

Forum members are people affected by gambling harm, through their own or someone else’s gambling. The Forum does not function as a peer support group, and while some members may be in recovery, supporting that process is not the aim of this platform. We view recovery as a personally defined concept and aim to include everyone in a sensible and reflective way. Forum members commit to attending meetings every six weeks.
