Community Connecting

This is a Claimed service
Delivered by: Age Scotland This is a Claimed organisation
Last updated: 08/07/2024

Social connection matters. Socialising improves physical and mental wellbeing, brings us comfort, and support and can help us stay connected - ultimately reducing feelings of loneliness and isolation.

Our free service aims to link older people across Scotland with organisations offering friendship, social activities, health and fitness groups, and events. The possibilities for social connection and friendship are endless!

You'll be paired with a Community Connector volunteer for a period of up to three months, who will learn more about your interests via weekly phone calls - offering information, support, encouragement and a friendly chat.

If you’d like to learn more about Community Connecting, including how to get involved, please call the Age Scotland Helpline.
