One-to-one Befriending

Through a trusted relationship and by spending just two hours a week with a trained volunteer befriender, young people are able to work through their difficulties, overcome their challenges and reach their potential.

An outing with a befriender can involve bowling, trips to the cinema or be as simple as a walk in the park. The aim is to spend quality time with a young person; being there for them, on time and as promised week to week. That reliability, consistency and care can make all the difference in the world.

Each of our befrienders is trained, and supported by our team of coordinators. We provide PVG checks and first aid training. All travel and other expenses are covered.
