The Breastfeeding Network
The Breastfeeding Network offers evidence-based information and non-judgmental peer support for parents. We work across Scotland and the UK with a variety of local services offering support in different ways to suit the communities they are based in. We also run the National Breastfeeding Helpline (in Partnership with the Association of Breastfeeding Mothers) and the Drugs in Breastmilk Information service offering support from qualified pharmacists about the safety of medication and medical treatments when breastfeeding.
The National Breastfeeding Helpline offers friendly, non-judgemental, independent, evidence based breastfeeding support and information to anyone in the UK who needs it. Support is offered over the phone or by messaging our Facebook or Instagram. You can also contact us via webchat.
We are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Support is offered by peer supporters, who have personal experience of breastfeeding and have completed accredited training.
