Mindroom- Parent and Carer Service
We support parents and carers of neurodivergent children and young people aged up to 25. No formal diagnosis is required to access our support.
Our Family Advice Specialists provide support by phone and email to parents, carers and professionals regarding all aspects of neurodiversity. Parents and carers can contact us about any issue impacting their child and we will provide skilled, empathetic individualised information, advice and support. This can include support to increase knowledge and understanding of neurodiversity, understand rights, communicate with professionals, prepare for or debrief from meetings, navigate systems and processes, identify relevant services or support, and emotional support as required.
For individuals requiring more intensive support, we can refer to our Family Outreach Specialists who work alongside parents and carers to create a plan to identify and address key issues.
We also run Parent Peer Support Groups in some Local Authorities.
