Fit Like Joggers

The idea for the Fit Like Joggers came about at the end of 2015, when a group of local friends fancied doing something to help get them running. ​This started with a small group completing the Couch to 5K programme. Over the years, the group has grown, and we have seen so many faces come through our ranks, many of whom remain running with us. ​We have had great tales of success, and many of the team have gone on to complete not just 5ks, but then 10ks, half marathons, marathons, and even ultra marathons.

in 2018 we launched our Leader Training programme, and were so pleased that over 30 of our runners have stepped up to help lead the different groups, as we split the runs into "Faster", "Longer" and "Jogger" groups, to give people a bit more variety. Our run leaders do an amazing job, and we are so grateful to all of them. Many of them have only recently come through the Couch to 5k programme themselves​.

We are well known for our social side too.

Running group following the Couch to 5k Programme. This is a 9 week programme with the aim of going out three times a week. It starts at just 60 seconds and builds up as the weeks goes on.

Fit Like Joggers offer a variety of weekly running groups for different abilities. All runs are completely free, and we always welcome new members.
