The Curly Hair Project is an organisation that helps people on the autistic spectrum and the people around them, founded by autistic author Alis Rowe. We use cool things like animated films, stories, comic strips and diagrams to make our work interesting and easy to understand!

The Curly hair Project (CHP) is an award-winning organisation founded by autistic author and entrepreneur Alis. CHP resources are used by individuals, families and professionals worldwide.

Lots of people are quite unaware of how autism presents in women. There are lots of women out there struggling and they perhaps don’t know why. Alis being open about it has already helped thousands of girls and women and their families around the world, take a look at our animated series featuring The Girl With The Curly Hair.

The Curly Hair Project is not just for girls, we have also helped thousands of Spiky Haired Boys too! Our resources are used by GPs, psychologists, speech and language therapists and teaching professionals.
